In Case Anyone Doubts Stumble Upon

Posted by Casey on June 29, 2009

Over the last hour Stumble Upon has been single handedly responsible for nearly 800 hits to this site.  I have only recently begun to use Stumble to try and get traffic, but so far it is fantastic!

I am a long time user of the famous Stumble button to browse the internet, and have yet to find anything online even remotely close in terms of fun.  Here’s the stats for this site in the last hour or so.

stats

UPDATE:

It’s now nearly 1,100 in nearly 1 1/2 hours … not too bad for one post. I’m not counting the hundreds of other hits from other sources either, but Stumble is kicking the crap out of them right now. If you have a website … definitely look into Stumble.

UPDATE 2:

Now Stumble is responsible for nearly 2,100 hits in the last few hours on one post.

I Utterly Reject The Term ‘Reverse Racism’

Posted by Casey on June 29, 2009

Sadness

Today we had a great ruling by the US Supreme Court in favor of 1 hispanic and 19 white firefighters. The were denied promotion because they were white, or at least … they weren’t black.

In the simplest terms possible that is what happened. They scored well on their promotion exam while the black firefighters scored poorly. Therefore, it would be wrong to promote them because they did so much better than the black firefighters. So the test results were thrown out. Nice huh?

While we could focus on numerous issues with this case, and I might in future posts, I want to pay special attention to the term used to describe this case by the MSM. That term is ‘reverse racism.’

What is reverse racism?

Try to find the definition in the dictionary (the real one), and it isn’t there. The term has been manufactured by our society in an effort to belittle white people … period, end of story.

Reverse racism is what they call it when white people are discriminated against based on race. Racism is when white people discriminate based on race. This leads to so many idiots perpetuating the pathetic myth that only white people can be racist. In the twisted new age definition of racism I suppose that would be true. However, the true definition of racism is pretty clear.

1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race

2 : racial prejudice or discrimination

Notice the dictionary makes no distinction who can, and can not, be racist? That would be the same dictionary that has no definition of reverse racist … just so know.

This brings me to my point. I utterly reject the term ‘reverse racism.’ It implies that only whites can be racist on a regular basis, and anytime they are discriminated against is so rare that a new term must be created. It’s all garbage, and any mature person knows that.

There is no such thing as reverse racism … it does not exist. There is only racism. Either you are the victim of it, or you aren’t.

Billy Mays, Infomercial King, Found Dead

Posted by Casey on June 28, 2009

Billy_maysBilly Mays was found dead this morning in his home by his wife at age 50. Billy Mays was the undisputed king of the direct marketing infomercial industry. He was well known for pitching Oxy Clean, Orange Glow, and for his role in the Discovery Channel show “Pitchmen.”

Mays was found unresponsive by his wife inside his Tampa, Fla., home at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Police said there were no signs of forced entry to May’s residence and foul play is not suspected. Authorities said an autopsy should be complete by Monday afternoon.

Mays, 50, was on board a US Airways flight that blew out its front tires as it landed at a Tampa airport on Saturday, MyFOXTampa.com reported.

US Airways spokesman Jim Olson said that none of the 138 passengers and five crew members were injured in the incident, but several passengers reported having bumps and bruises, according to the station.

Authorities have not said whether Mays’ death was related to the incident.

Call To Action: Operation Dep 9 Aims To Deny Government Tax Dollars Legally

Posted by Casey on June 27, 2009

SANTA MONICA, CA - APRIL 15: Five-year-old Ka...

I was listening to the radio today, and a caller had an interesting idea to temporarily punish the federal government for Cap and Trade as well as other taxes.  Her idea was to claim 9 dependents on our taxes to prevent funds from being taken out of our paychecks.  This idea peaked my interest, and is a legal way to delay paying taxes.

Please note … I am in no way advocating committing an illegal act, or not paying your taxes.  While you can claim 9 dependents to prevent the taxes from being taken out of your check … you still owe that taxes at the end of the year.  So don’t go blowing your money.  The idea isn’t to get into debt, but to delay the government from getting your money in order to put tremendous financial strain on the federal system.

Ideally this would send a strong message to the government to stop increasing our taxes.  But could we really get enough people to do it to make the government feel it?  That’s the question.  So consider this the official launch of:

Operation Dep 9

Go forth and spread the love.

Military Dismisses/Belittles N. Korea Threats

Remember when the Army said they could kick N. Korea’s ass right now if need be?  Yeah, they still have that same stance.

The Pentagon shrugged off a threat from North Korea Wednesday to wipe the United States off the map.

“I don’t even know how to respond to that. It’s silliness,” said Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell.”For what and with what?

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Suck on that Kimmy!

Critics Shocked To Discover “Bruno” Ambushes Look Staged

Posted by Casey on June 26, 2009

People Sacha Baron Cohen
Image by Current News Stories via Flickr

A three year old could see this from the previews, and we all should have learned that from “Borat.”  Believing “Bruno” is a true reality experiment is almost as naive as believing “The Hills” is unscripted … almost.

Now I don’t have a problem with a fictional movie that is filmed in a reality style, but don’t proclaim a script to be reality.  Face it … “Borat” was largely scripted, and so to will be “Bruno.”  I’m still not 100% sure all the lawsuits aren’t a part of the official publicity campaign, and are themselves scripted.

Nonetheless … some are shocked.

“Bruno” is only intermittently funny and all too often the “ambushes” of celebrities and civilians look staged. The movie is even a tad — dare we say it? — tedious.

Honesty About Michael Jackson Led To Knife Threat

Posted by Casey on June 26, 2009

I’ve been listening to arguments over how great, or bad, Michael Jackson was as a human being since his death yesterday. Facts are facts … the guy was mentally unstable, and he was a threat to children. His talent in his craft is irrelevant as far as his standing as a human being is concerned. Mike Tyson is a great boxer who changed the scope of fighting forever, but he’s still a creep.

The argument that Jackson was never convicted of molestation also doesn’t hold water. He did get accused of sexual assault several times, admitted to sleeping in the same bed with children, and he paid off some accusers. While many would say that you would never accept money if your child were really molested … you also would never pay the money if you were really innocent. Just a thought.

Anyway, a man announced on a bus that Jackson died. This led one man to say that Jackson belonged in jail years ago. Enter the 6 inch knife blade.

You Should Not Be Able To Arrest A Woman For Breast-Feeding While Drunk

Posted by Casey on June 24, 2009

Breastfeeding an infant
Image via Wikipedia

Can someone … anyone … explain how it is possible for a woman who is breast-feeding while intoxicated to be arrested while a pregnant woman who drinks goes free?

I am fed up with society’s hypocrisy when it comes to children, babies, or fetuses. There is no logical argument for there being a difference between a 7, 8, 9 month pregnant woman drinking, and a woman breast-feeding while drunk.

This constant struggle to simply try and figure out what is/is not a baby and what is/is not abuse and neglect will have to come to a head sooner or later.

Abortion is legal … unless you do it yourself. A pregnant woman can kill her 18 week old fetus, but someone else can’t? Have you ever even seen like during the time where a partial-birth abortion is performed?

clipped from www.grandforksherald.com
A Grand Forks mother who police say was “extremely intoxicated” while breast-feeding her 6-week-old pleaded guilty to child neglect Tuesday.

Officers responded to an unrelated call at a Grand Forks residence in the early morning of Feb. 13 and saw 26-year-old Stacey Anvarinia slurring her speech and breastfeeding, prosecutor Meredith Larson told the judge.

Citing a police report, Larson said officers were concerned about the infant’s welfare, so they called Altru Hospital and were told that breast-feeding while intoxicated was not good for the child.

Barney Frank Leading The Charge For A Second Housing Crisis

Posted by Casey on June 24, 2009

Barney Frank

Given that Barney Frank is one of the 5 people most responsible for the current housing collapse … how could anyone take him seriously anymore? Especially when he hasn’t learned his lesson, and is working to repeat history.
clipped from www.reuters.com
Two U.S. Democratic lawmakers want Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to relax recently tightened standards for mortgages on new condominiums, saying they could threaten the viability of some developments and slow the housing-market recovery, the Wall Street Journal said.
In March, Fannie Mae (FNM.N)(FNM.P) said it would no longer guarantee mortgages on condos in buildings where fewer than 70 percent of the units have been sold, up from 51 percent, the paper said. Freddie Mac (FRE.P)(FRE.N) is due to implement similar policies next month, the paper said.
In a letter to the CEO’s of both companies, Representatives Barney Frank, the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, and Anthony Weiner warned that a 70 percent sales threshold “may be too onerous” and could lead condo buyers to shun new developments, according to the paper.
