I Present … The Pork Princess.

Posted by Casey on April 29, 2008

Not a shocker for sure, but very telling.

The Hill:

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) has requested nearly $2.3 billion in federal earmarks for 2009, almost three times the largest amount received by a single senator this year.

The Democratic presidential candidate’s staggering request comes at a time when Congress remains engaged in a heated debate over spending federal dollars on parochial projects.

Still think she’s not going to raise taxes?

Dems Use Ad Showing US Troops Getting Blown Up.

Posted by Casey on April 29, 2008

This is too far, and they know it. This sort of “dramatic imagery” is unacceptable by any standard. Out of simple respect for the families of military personnel this ad would never have run with those images.

Before you libs start attacking me I want you to stop and actually think for a minute. If the GOP used the image of US troops who had been captured, tortured then murdered by dismemberment to prove that we needed to fight such evil … you would rightly be enraged as well.

Forget about the ad completely taking McCain’s 100 years comments out of context. We are now learning that the footage came from Fahrenheit 9/11. GP also points out that this footage is likely from a terrorist snuff film since American cameras were most likely not present.

Nothing makes you want to vote Democrat like watching them use our enemy’s propaganda for political gain.

Uh Oh, The Messiah & The Reverend Set To Battle On Pay-Per-View!

Posted by Casey on April 29, 2008

If only we were so lucky to see that title fight (my money would be on Wright). At least we get to see them battle it out in words for free through the media.

Apparently Obama is uber pissed at being called a liar by Rev. Wright last weekend among other comments. Only a true racist, as Wright is, would see the legitimate attacks on him as an attack on the black church and community as a whole.

Enter Obama … who finally grew a pair after being scolded for not doing this months ago.

Democrat Barack Obama said Tuesday he was outraged and appalled by the latest comments from his former pastor, who asserted that criticism of his fiery sermons is an attack on the black church and the U.S. government was responsible for the creation of the AIDS virus.

The presidential candidate is seeking to tamp down the growing fury over Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his incendiary remarks that threaten to undermine his campaign.

It’s good that Obama finally did this, but again … what took him so long? We all know the answer to that. Even if some don’t want to admit what is in front of their face.

I’m also glad he admitted anger at the AIDS comments Wright has been making … finally. For those of you who don’t know, the whole the US created AIDS thing was a Soviet propaganda campaign. Yep, the Soviets set out to demonize the US by saying we created AIDS. They did it in 1985 in a Soviet paper called Literary Gazette.

Wright also said the attacks on him were from cherry picked statements. Even if that were true … so what. Those are some damn harsh cherry picked comments there buddy. I guess Michael Richards dropping the N-bombs were just cherry picked also. Well, it turns out that they weren’t so cherry picked after all (h/t GP).

Please do go listen to some of Wright’s other racist comments over the weekend here.

Harry Reid Beat Up An Old Man! Admits It Wasn’t Fair Fight!

Posted by Casey on April 25, 2008

This is actually fairly old news for us in Vegas. I’ve made a regular gag about it on my show since we found out the story. However, it doesn’t seem to have received national attention yet, but all of that will change in the coming weeks when his autobiography gets released. So if you aren’t aware of the story, read on.

The U.S. Senate majority leader doesn’t pull any punches about his brawling reputation in his upcoming autobiography “The Good Fight — Hard Lessons From Searchlight to Washington.” …

The battle royale came when he was a college freshman. He and his high school girlfriend, Landra Gould, were still seeing each other, much to the chagrin of her chiropractor dad, who despised Reid because he wasn’t Jewish, according to the book.

“College hadn’t cooled the relationship, it had intensified it. We were going to be together and there was nothing her father could do about it. Of course he didn’t see it that way. She was living under his roof.”

The father met Reid at the door and told him to stay away from his daughter.

“I was there to pick her up,” Reid writes, “and he was blocking my way, talking too much. He started pushing, and I threw a punch, and then the whole mess spilled out into the front yard.

“It wasn’t a fair fight — he was smaller than I was … I turned around and found Landra by my side. We got in that car and we took off.”

They eloped in 1959 when she was 19 and he was 20. They will celebrate their 50th anniversary next year.

BWAAAAHAHAHAHA! The majority leader admits he beat up his father-in-law, AND it wasn’t a fair fight. I laugh every time I read that. I guess this explains why Mrs. Reid doesn’t make herself seen in the public eye. I’d probably hide from shame myself. How many of you ladies out there would marry the guy who attacked your dad? I didn’t think so. Hmm … I wonder if he’s holding her hostage?

Her father obviously was a good judge of character, and was doing his fatherly duty to keep a scumbag away from his little girl. No doubt something you dads out there can fully understand.

Reid’s character, however, is validated as being the hot-tempered bully we already identified him with. Even to this day Reid seems to brag about his unjustified attack on his future father-in-law. Seemingly basking in the fact that it wasn’t a fair fight because of the other guys age, and small stature. You might as well throw in Reid’s boxing as well … even though he was never any good at it. If you never knew Reid used to box, now you have an explanation for his dementia-esc memory lapses.

In the end, Reid’s attack does wonders to explain the endless list of character flaws Reid has displayed throughout the years. Good thing his political career is over so we don’t have to deal with him much longer. Now we’ll be able to focus more on his son Rory.

Student Suspended After Dad Calls Him From Iraq.

Posted by Casey on April 15, 2008

Just another example of the complete uselessness of zero tolerance policies at our schools.

A call from a parent stationed in a war zone has landed a Texas high school student in hot water, and his mother is asking the school to ease up on the punishment.

The Copperas Cove High School sophomore received an urgent call from his father and was suspended after taking the call during class.

Master Sgt. Morris Hill is a world away in Iraq, so he had no idea that a simple call from the battlefield to his son, Brandon, would land the 16-year-old in a heap of trouble.

“He called me during class, because that’s the only time that he could,” said Brandon Hill, suspended for using a cell phone. “I answered the call as I was walking out of class. The teacher followed me out and said, ‘Oh what are you doing?’ I said my dad was calling from Iraq, and I know he needs to talk to me.”

First of all … only an asshat of epic proportions would suspend a student in this situation.

On another note … the students aren’t allowed to have cell phones, but the family is saying that a special arrangement was made with the school’s assistant principal for just this sort of thing. That would make the school officials double asshats of epic proportions.

So how has the school responded now that this has become public knowledge? In a very “we’re a school, leave us alone” attitude that has become commonplace when schools mess up … which is an awful lot.

In a written statement to KXAN Austin News, Kathy Blake, the secretary to the Copperas Cove district superintendent, said: “In an emergency situation there are procedures in place to address those individual situations. This is true for all of the students in our district. The incident in question occurred almost two weeks ago and has been resolved.”

Well, apparently the assistant principal felt the district’s policies sucked ass. The situation is far from resolved as proclaimed by the secretary to the superintendent.

Yet Pat Hill said the school will not address her request to have the suspension removed from her son’s record, a battle she is fighting here while her husband is away.

Again … asshats of epic proportions.

Drink SKYY Vodka Now!

Posted by Casey on April 11, 2008

In my previous post, about how Absolut vodka insulted Americans by advocating reconquista, I said I was stickin with Stoli’s. Well, I’ve changed my mind. Now my vodka will be the uber patriotic SKYY brand. Why, well it is good vodka, but they defeded the honor of the United States by ripping Absolut, and giving a scathing history lesson on The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo … AWESOME!

Today, SKYY® Vodka, the number-one vodka produced in the United States, spoke out against suggestions by Absolut® Vodka to disregard that treaty, as well as the joining of Texas to the Union in 1845, as depicted in Absolut’s recent advertising.

“Like SKYY Vodka, the residents of states like California, Texas and Arizona are exceptionally proud of the fact that they are from the United States of America,” said Dave Karraker, SKYY Vodka. “To imply that they might be interested in changing their mailing addresses, as our competitor seems to be suggesting in their advertising, is a bit presumptuous.”

SKYY Vodka was founded in San Francisco in 1992 and continues to be produced in the United States. Premium SKYY Vodka is made from American grain carefully selected from the Midwest and 100% pure filtered water. SKYY’s proprietary four-column distillation and three-step filtration process consistently ensures exceptional quality. SKYY Vodka products include luxury SKYY90® and new SKYY Infusions™, a unique, all-natural infused experience made with premium SKYY Vodka and succulent real fruit.

The only thing left for SKYY to do is change their bottles slightly to get Old Glory on there. Then there is no stopping them!

The Lies Of Obama, & His Words Of Hate.

Posted by Casey on April 10, 2008

In his own words … h/t GP.

I will admit a couple of the quotes atributed to Obama have no context for which to gather an accurate representation of what he was saying, or if it was him saying it. However, it is very clear that he has been harboring some negative racial feelings towards whites, and knew fully what Rev. Wright was all about.
