The Dreaded Cooling Of Planet Earth

Posted by Casey on November 11, 2008

As you should all know by now, global warming officially ended some time ago. Now the fear scientists have is that the planet is going back into a mini ice age … which is far more dangerous to the existence of life than warming temperatures.

In fact, our cooling planet has already begun to claim victims in mother nature realm.

Last year, the planet cooled so much that it erased the last century of natural warming that financially strapped science departments exploited to get funding. That data was according to every major atmospheric research lab in the world. This year, the trend has continued. In most areas of the country, the temperatures were below average according to the National Climate Data Center/NESDIS/NOAA. Thereby confirming for the second straight year that Earth is, in fact, cooling … not warming.

For those of you who think the ocean is warming up … you are wrong. The polar bears are not in danger either. They are actually thriving.

It’s time for you to all accept the facts on this. NASA is very worried about crops being destroyed as a result of drastic cooling. For all we know, the SUV may save us all. That would require me to believe that man was responsible for global warming to begin with, and since we weren’t … I can’t.

Forget about the SUVs. The real problem is that, if CO2 can’t cause Global Warming, then it can’t stop Global Cooling.

    Think about it.

Despite increased levels of CO2, we are seeing short term cooling. Global Climate change is not as dependent on CO2 as has been postulated. This means it goes both ways. No added warming from CO2 – no protection from cooling from CO2.

Climate goes through ups and downs like the stock market, but like the latter used to be – it’s on a long-term upswing. Also, there’s the theoretical basis, of CO2 trapping IR rays so you can’t just talk empirical findings.

Re #7 — what planet do you live on? Most of the greasy hackers I’ve ever known were either bizarre anarchists or loopy liberals. Big-corp programmers are less extreme, but still tend to lean left. Hippies most certainly are a site-hacking threat.

But back to topic: Why is it that most of the individual temperature statistics maps from NOAA (like one at the top of this page) seem to show cooling, while the graphs on their ‘global warming’ reports always show serious warming? In 25 years of science work I’ve never seen data/analysis discrepancies that big be ignored by the researchers presenting them.

I don’t know how many people have heard of Dr. Mitch Taylor, Canada’s foremost expert on polar bears. Considering that we are home to 70% of the world’s polar bears, that makes him likely the foremost authority in the world. His response to fears of global warming harming polar bears anytime soon was to say, “It is entirely appropriate to be concerned about climate change, but it is just silly to predict the demise of polar bears in 25 years based on media-assisted hysteria.”
