Army: We Could Totally Kick N. Korea’s Ass Right Now

Posted by Casey on May 29, 2009

While our president continues to completely ignore N. Korea’s saber rattling, and all you pacifists have been proven wrong about how effective talking with them could be, our military is ready to kick some ass.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates is playing down the tensions stemming from North Korea’s nuclear and missile tests this week, but the Army’s top officer says the U.S. could fight an old-fashioned war against the communist regime if necessary.

Asked whether the American forces would be prepared to fight if war broke out between South Korea and North Korea, Gen. George Casey replied, “The short answer is yes.” But he added that it would probably take a little bit longer to “shift gears” away from the type of counterinsurgency fighting that now occupies the Army.

Casey said his usual rule for how long it would take the Army to gear up for a new “conventional” war is about 90 days. But he says that doesn’t mean it would take 90 days for the U.S. to effectively fight the North’s million-man army.

Bush Responsible For The Most Successful Military Campaign In US History

Posted by Casey on January 19, 2009

Man, I love kicking the enemy’s ass! This is the sort of thing that makes you want to down a bottle of scotch, and toast your enemy’s death. GO BUSH!!

Before President George W. Bush leaves office it’s only fitting to give credit to where credit it due. Although you would not know this from the anti-Bush media or democrats, the US military has waged the most successful major military campaign in American history these past 8 years.
The War on Terror has been an amazing success not only in what has been accomplished but in what it has cost in lives. Two brutal regimes were obliterated, Al-Qaeda was decimated, fledgling democracies were established. But, most importantly, the US was able to do this while sacrificing the fewest number of soldiers monthly than in any other military campaign in US history. In fact, the US today is losing fewer soldiers each month in Iraq and Afghanistan combined than the average number of soldiers lost monthly during the Clinton years (~35 to 78).

Here’s how the War on Terror stacks up with other US Wars:

blog it
The population today in the US is much larger than when these previous wars were fought. If you factor that in it really puts things into perspective.

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Palestinian Terrorist

Posted by Casey on January 15, 2009

I had this forwarded to me from a friend, and felt it worth sharing. Not because you don’t already know this, but so that you have a source of info to share with others.

Be sure to watch until near the end when there is video footage of Palestinian terrorists using small children as human shields.

Don’t forget about Assud, the Jew eating rabbit, that Hamas uses to indoctrinate kids. Unfortunately, the IAF killed him in the latest hostilities.

Before Assud, there was Farfur the mouse who was assasinated by a Mossad agent, and Nakhol who died from cancer after Israel refused to treat him.

Ron Paul: The Monumental Idiot

Posted by Casey on January 6, 2009

He was on my list of things to vanish in 2009 … guess that’s blown.

Right after he’s done actually reading the US Constitution so he can start to accurately quote it, maybe he can look up the definition of preemption.

Let It Be Known: Bush, Not Obama, Secured Iraq Withdrawal

Posted by Casey on November 21, 2008

I just want this to be crystal clear, because number 2’s will try to give credit to Obama for this. The deal has been in the works for nearly a year now, since Iraq asked the US to stay indefinitely in their country.

The security agreement, reached after months of negotiations between Iraqi and U.S. representatives, sets June 30, 2009, as the deadline for U.S. combat troops to withdraw from all Iraqi cities and towns. The date for all U.S. troops to leave Iraq would be December 31, 2011.
It would replace a U.N. resolution expiring at year’s end that sets out the role of U.S. and allied troops in Iraq.

The Iraqi government approved the pact Sunday, and now the measure is under debate in parliament, where there has been overheated discussion between proponents and opponents. A vote is expected next week.

Violence In Iraq Still Down During Ramadan

Posted by Casey on September 22, 2008

Good thing McCain was right about the surge.

Army Lt. Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III, Multinational Corps Iraq commander, spoke to Pentagon reporters via teleconference from his headquarters in Baghdad.

Austin charted the continued progress in Iraq. “We’ve experienced continued low levels of violence, with 15 of the last 16 weeks remaining below the 200-attacks-per-week mark,” he said. “In Baghdad, … we’ve averaged less than four attacks per day for the last 13 weeks.”

He said this level of violence would have been unthinkable a year ago. Anbar province – once the home of al-Qaida in Iraq – transferred to Iraqi provincial control, and the trends of violence continue down, the general told reporters.

It’s notable that the decrease has continued during Ramadan, Austin said. “We did see a small spike in attacks over the weekend,” he acknowledged, “but I can tell you that even with the spike, we are well below what we saw last year and the year before that.”
