Taliban: ‘If We Now Kill Schoolgirls, You Shouldn’t Be Surprised’

Posted by Casey on May 28, 2009

A letter posted by the Taliban threatening violence on girls who attend school.

A letter posted by the Taliban threatening violence on girls who attend school.

They aren’t even trying to hide the fact that they murder children anymore. The Taliban used to blame us for any youth deaths, but we all knew (well, the sane among us knew) that it was the Taliban murdering children.

Spiegal Online:

Responding to threats from the Taliban, at least 10 girls’ schools have shut down near Kunduz in northern Afghanistan. Visiting the schools is a dangerous proposition — a trip leading directly into the heart of Islamist territory.

When the deputy director of Aqtash High School talks of the government, he isn’t referring to Hamid Karzai’s central government in Kabul. Nor does he refer to the provincial administration in Kunduz. “The Taliban are our government,” Bashir says. “They have taken over our region, their commanders give the orders here.”

Bashir is standing in a dusty classroom on the ground floor of his modern school, roughly half an hour from Kunduz by car. As recently as just one month ago, he says, some 400 girls were still coming to the school in three daily shifts to learn reading, writing and arithmetic. Figures and formula are still scrawled across the blackboard.

But now, the girls’ classrooms have been left to deteriorate. The desks and chairs are still laid out in neat rows, but a film of dust has collected, and Bashir stands helplessly in the middle of the room. “Parents in Aqtash are afraid to send their girls to school anymore, after the death threats,” he explains.

Still waiting for the feminist movement to get behind our efforts in Afghanistan. Yep … still waiting.

Poll: Is A School Assignment To Come Up With Terrorist Attack Appropriate?

Posted by Casey on May 11, 2009

Students in Pueblo, Colorado have been given a homework assignment to come up with a terrorist attack for history class.

A ninth grade history project at a high school in Pueblo was supposed to teach students about terrorism, but instead it outraged parents.

Gini Fischer says her daughter came home Thursday saying she had two minutes to come up with a plot for an act of terrorism.

I actually had an assignment once in history class where I chose to draw up invasion plans for numerous countries. However, the teacher didn’t require that to be the assignment.

Naturally, the school is saying that the kids misinterpreted the assignment, and that any kid who plots an attack on the school will be punished. They are destroying the assignments as we speak.

Is an assignment like this appropriate for school?

FEMA Pulls 9/11 Coloring Book From Their Site … Are They Wrong?

Posted by Casey on May 3, 2009

FEMA has had a coloring book available for children to download that has a 9/11 theme called “A Scary Thing Happened.” FEMA has just decided to pull the coloring book off of its website.

The government agency that bungled the Hurricane Katrina response has yanked a kiddie coloring book from its site called “A Scary Thing Happened” that depicts the burning twin towers on the cover – with a plane heading straight for one of them.

On page 12, the stomach-churning 9/11 image is repeated not once but three times, complete with flames – for kids to color.

See, I told you it was real.

Needless to say … some New Yorkers weren’t happy about the coloring book.

“I feel disrespected,” said Jason Owens, 20, of Manhattan, who was with his 3-year-old son. “I feel like I should punch the person who did this in the face.”

Standing with her goddaughter, 43-year-old Risat Jabeen of Brooklyn, said she was shocked FEMA would find it inoffensive.

“Kids color for fun so these things shouldn’t be in coloring books,” she said. “So many people died that day.”

Vanessa Bell, 38, of Bronx, said there’s no way she’d let her 5-year-old daughter color in that book. “It just makes kids feel depressed,” she said.

The concept of the book, however, wasn’t to offend … it was to cope with tragedy.

The coloring book was dreamed up by the emergency response team in largely rural Freeborn County, Minn. – after it was ravaged by a tornado, said Rose Olmsted, a county official.

“It was developed to help children make some sense after a disaster,” said Olmsted. “I have a letter from FEMA in 2003 applauding us for the coloring book.”

I guess they’ve been passing these books out to kids since 2003 in the US and even in Australia.

It got me thinking though. Was FEMA really wrong for supporting such a coloring book? How about for pulling the book from its website? Are they trying to sweep 9/11 under the rug under the guise that “it’s too soon” or “it’s too tramatic” just like the news has done? I don’t know.

What do you think? Take the poll on the top left of this site.

Ron Paul Supporters Want To Destroy America?

Posted by Casey on March 23, 2009

I’m no fan of Ron Paul in any way, and most of his supporters that I’ve met are actually liberals playing the role of Republicans in order to destroy the party. However, I in no way think that his supporters are a militia group to be worried about.

This is just lunacy, and I can only imagine the liberal uproar about something like this if it happened when Bush was still president.

If you’re an anti-abortion activist, or if you display political paraphernalia supporting a third-party candidate or a
certain Republican member of Congress, if you possess subversive literature, you very well might be a member of a domestic
paramilitary group.

That’s according to “The Modern Militia Movement,” a report by the Missouri Information Analysis
Center (MIAC), a government collective that identifies the warning signs of potential domestic terrorists for law enforcement
communities.

Hold on, it gets better.

clipped from www.foxnews.com

People who supported former third-party presidential
candidates like Texas Rep. Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin and former Georgia Rep. Bob Barr are cited in the report, in addition to
anti-abortion activists and conspiracy theorists who believe the United States, Mexico and Canada will someday form a North
American Union.

“Militia members most commonly associate with 3rd party political groups,” the report reads. “It
is not uncommon for militia members to display Constitutional Party, Campaign for Liberty or Libertarian material.”

Other
potential signals of militia involvement, according to the report, are possession of the Gagsden “Don’t Tread on Me” flag
or the widely available anti-income tax film “America: Freedom to Fascism.”

I think I speak for all of us when I say that these retards have lost their minds.

While most Paul supporters, conspiracy theorists, and the NAU crowd are easily misled by nonsensical crap … that hardly qualifies as a militia movement. Now the anti-abortion crowd does have some solid militia candidates, but that’s another post for another time.

If you want to find real “militia” threats to the US then you need to look at militant racist groups like the Black Panthers. Better yet, why don’t you start looking into mosques with clerics who preach America’s destruction, or maybe look into this all Muslim town in New York founded by a former terrorist … duh.

Former Gitmo Detainee Running The Show In Afghanistan

Posted by Casey on March 10, 2009

This is what happens when you let terrorists go … they go back to terrorism.  While the most intellectually challenged child comprehends this … libtards simply can’t.

Former Gitmo detainee Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul is leading Taliban militants against Coalition Forces in Southern Afhanistan.

The AP reported:
U.S. officials say the Taliban’s new top operations officer in southern Afghanistan is a former prisoner at the Guantanamo detention center. Pentagon and CIA officials say Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul was among 13 prisoners released to the Afghan government in December 2007. He is now known as Mullah Abdullah Zakir, a name officials say is used by the Taliban leader in charge of operations against U.S. and Afghan forces in southern Afghanistan.

One intelligence official told The Associated Press that Rasoul’s stated mission is to counter the growing U.S. troop surge.

It was not clear from the report if Rasoul was one of the “moderate” Taliban members who Obama would like to negotiate with, or not.

Meanwhile, back at Gitmo …

The five detainees at Guantánamo Bay charged with planning the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks have filed a document with the military commission at the United States naval base there expressing pride at their accomplishment and accepting full responsibility for the killing of nearly 3,000 people.

Obama To Keep Combat Troops In Iraq More Than A Year Longer Than Bush Was!

Posted by Casey on February 24, 2009

Today the AP is reporting that Obama will remove US combat troops from Iraq by August 2010, and that all US troops will be pulled out by December 2011. On the surface this looks good for Obama supporters, but Obama can’t take credit for getting US troops out of Iraq. That was ALL Bush.

In fact, before the election, Bush and the Iraqis signed the agreement to get all US troops out of Iraq by December 2011. So Obama can’t get any credit for that date of withdrawal. Especially since it was in the works for over a year at the time it was signed last November.

However, all US troops is different than US combat troops. So when did Bush say he would withdraw all US combat troops? Bush signed an agreement with the Iraqis to have all US combat troops out of Iraq by June 30, 2009. You’ll notice the date released by the Obama administration to have all US combat troops out of Iraq was August 2010. So Bush was actually going to withdraw our combat troops 14 earlier than Obama! So much for hopeandchange.

Bush Responsible For The Most Successful Military Campaign In US History

Posted by Casey on January 19, 2009

Man, I love kicking the enemy’s ass! This is the sort of thing that makes you want to down a bottle of scotch, and toast your enemy’s death. GO BUSH!!
clipped from gatewaypundit.blogspot.com

Before President George W. Bush leaves office it’s only fitting to give credit to where credit it due. Although you would not know this from the anti-Bush media or democrats, the US military has waged the most successful major military campaign in American history these past 8 years.
The War on Terror has been an amazing success not only in what has been accomplished but in what it has cost in lives. Two brutal regimes were obliterated, Al-Qaeda was decimated, fledgling democracies were established. But, most importantly, the US was able to do this while sacrificing the fewest number of soldiers monthly than in any other military campaign in US history. In fact, the US today is losing fewer soldiers each month in Iraq and Afghanistan combined than the average number of soldiers lost monthly during the Clinton years (~35 to 78).

Here’s how the War on Terror stacks up with other US Wars:

blog it
The population today in the US is much larger than when these previous wars were fought. If you factor that in it really puts things into perspective.
