Obama Puts The Brakes On Fort Hood Hearing

Posted by Casey on November 16, 2009

What’s up Obama’s sleeve here? Why would he stop the briefing?

FOXNews.com:

The Senate Armed Services Committee postponed its Monday briefing on the deadly Fort Hood massacre at the behest of the White House, despite calls from some lawmakers to press forward with a congressional investigation into the shooting rampage that killed 13 and wounded 29.

There’s no need to delay it for evidence gathering purposes. I’ll be following this for you.

Ahmadinejad: Obama must choose between Israel and Iran | Iranian – Iran News | Jerusalem Post

Iranian President Mahmoud...

The jihadi world is making a go at picking America’s friends. Will the ‘O’ listen?

Jerusalem Post:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called on the US to choose between Israel and Iran on Tuesday night, according to Iranian state media.

Speaking in Istanbul at the 25th Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Iranian president said that it was up to US President Barack Obama to illustrate his motto of “change”.

“The support of both Israel and Iran can’t go hand in hand,” he was quoted as saying by IRNA. “No change is made unless great choices are made.

“We would welcome the changes, and wait for big and correct decisions to be made… We will clasp any hand that is extended sincerely toward us, but changes should be made in practice.”

Addressing the same conference a day earlier, Ahmadinejad said that capitalist excesses caused the global economic meltdown and were un-Islamic, as leaders at a Muslim forum touted their religion’s banking system a way to revive battered economies.

Tried telling you all the jihadis were socialist.

Fort Hood Shooter Is Terrorist Jihadi, Military Knew About It Months Ago.

Posted by Casey on November 9, 2009

landing-page_1517912cThere is so much wrong with this case. Why did he get promoted when he had poor performance reviews? Why didn’t Army brass take action when his pro-terrorist writings, musings, arguments, and the like became known?

Now the military is saying they were aware that he tried to contact al Qaeda?

ABC News:

U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with al Qaeda, two American officials briefed on classified material in the case told ABC News.

It is not known whether the intelligence agencies informed the Army that one of its officers was seeking to connect with suspected al Qaeda figures, the officials said.

Jesus Christ!

I remember the good ‘ol days when we used to remove, isolate, interrogate, and possibly kill these threats.  Now we just move them around, give them promotions, and let them work with our returning veterans.

Is political correctness to blame for this tragedy?

One person says that it is, and good American soldiers are dead because of a fear of being honest.

We must rid ourselves of the foolish notion that we’re being broadminded when we ignore vitriolic loathing of our culture and our lifestyle. Refusing to take action against evil for fear of being guilty of stereotyping has resulted in flag-draped coffins for thirteen of America’s finest. What occurred at Fort Hood is even more stunning because it exposes a weak-willed mentality that has become woven into the fabric of the mightiest military force in the history of the world.

Now we’ve also learned that one of Maj. Hasan’s friends was happy he killed these soldiers.

Questions were being asked in Texas this weekend about the friendship between the US Army psychiatrist Nidal Malik Hasan, who killed 13 people in a shooting spree at the Fort Hood military base last Thursday, and a young man called Duane Reasoner Jnr. Interviewed by the BBC on Friday, Reasoner said he felt no pity for Hasan’s victims because “they were troops who were going to Afghanistan and Iraq to kill Muslims”.

A tape of the interview, conducted by Gavin Lee of the BBC, has ended up on YouTube and other sites and is getting an angry response from Americans still shocked by Hasan’s deadly rampage.

Reasoner is 20 years younger than Hasan. The pair became friends through the local mosque in Killeen – the nearest town to the vast army camp – where Hasan regularly prayed and where Reasoner, who was brought up as a Catholic, was completing his conversion to Islam.

I was listening to the radio the other day, and callers were still arguing against calling this what it is … a terrorist, jihadi attack on the United States.

Olympic Protesters Are ‘Terrorists’ Now.

Posted by Casey on November 6, 2009

Man, they are doing everything they can to erase the true meaning of words aren’t they? It would seem that some people in the world will call anyone a terrorist except for actual terrorists.

Victoria News:

People who protest the Winter Olympics are nothing more than “terrorists” with “limited intellect,” Liberal Burquitlam MLA Harry Bloy said in the legislature Monday.

Bloy’s comments come in support of a private member’s bill motion by Richmond Centre MLA Rob Howard to welcome the Olympic torch to B.C., and recognize the unprecedented economic opportunity the Winter Olympics and Paralympics will bring.

Even The Nobel Jury Can’t Defend Obama’s Peace Prize

Posted by Casey on October 13, 2009

WASHINGTON - OCTOBER 09: U.S. President Barac...

Anyone with the mental capacity above a 5 year old knows this Nobel business was nonsense.  Non of my Democrat friends have even tried to defend Obama’s non-award award.  Quite the opposite actually … even they are searching for examples of why Obama would qualify for such an award.  This may actually be even more ludicrous than Gore’s Nobel award … almost.

So what did the Nobel jury responsible for giving Obama the award do to defend their decision?  Very little.

Asked to comment on the uproar following Friday’s announcement, four members of the five-seat panel told The Associated Press that they had expected the decision to generate both surprise and criticism.

Three of them rejected the notion that Obama hadn’t accomplished anything to deserve the award, while the fourth declined to answer that question. A fifth member didn’t answer calls seeking comment.

“We simply disagree that he has done nothing,” committee chairman Thorbjoern Jagland told the AP on Tuesday. “He got the prize for what he has done.”

Ok then … what has he done?

Jagland singled out Obama’s efforts to heal the divide between the West and the Muslim world and scale down a Bush-era proposal for an anti-missile shield in Europe.

“All these things have contributed to – I wouldn’t say a safer world – but a world with less tension,” Jagland said

Ok, let’s evaluate this shall we?

The Nobel jury knew this was going to be a controversial decision.  Which means they fully understood that Obama is not viewed as someone who is deserving of this award.  Yet they gave it to him anyway.

One of them declined to answer a direct question as to what Obama had done to deserve the award.  Which means he was either forced into voting for Obama, or it was purely motivated by his own personal politics.

The other three believe Obama was deserving for a couple of reasons.

Healing the divide between the West and Muslim worlds was cited as one reason.  So how exactly has he done that?  None of our former enemies in the Muslim world are on any better terms than they were under Bush.  In fact, you can make a solid argument that things with Iran are much worse now than they were under Bush with Obama’s latest (and justified) verbal lashing of Iran’s nuclear program and the sanctions that followed.

I haven’t seen any evidence of the Muslim world being more accepting of the US because of Obama.  As I said before, none of our former enemies is on better terms with us because of Obama.  Several of our allies are on far worse terms now with Obama.  Canada, Turkey, Israel, Honduras, Columbia, and all of Eastern Europe to name a few.

Which leads me to the second issue the Nobel jury said qualified Obama for the Nobel Peace Prize … the missile shield.

Abandoning our allies’ safety and violating treaties and agreements with our friends is apparently a trait coveted by the modern Nobel committee.  How exactly is not coming to the aid of a weaker nation who has asked for our assistence to keep flaming missiles from raining down on their heads a qualifier for the Peace Prize?

The worst part was when Jagland admitted that Obama’s actions hadn’t at all made the world safer … just released some tension.

So pissing off our friends, not mending fences with our enemies, and leaving our weaker allies to hang out and dry against very curious opposition to missile defense while at the same time carrying on virtually the same policy as Bush in the War on Terror with no success in making the world safer is what gets you the Nobel Peace Prize these days?

We used to call that failure … now it gets you an award.

But liberating millions of people, fighting the enemies of the civilzed world, and having a net reduction in murders in the nations in which we are doing those things didn’t qualify the previous president?  I’m not even advocating Bush should have won the award, but at least show some common sense in the process.

The Peace Prize is no longer about making a safe world, but rather making a “world with less tension” … justice be damned.

Jagland asked who had done more in the previous year for the development of peace than Barack Obama.

CBS News had a crap load of suggestions earlier this month.  Like everyone else … Obama wasn’t even on their radar.

After CBS went over the profiles of several potentials for the Peace Prize, and the reasons they likely would not win (which involved political retribution for challenging China) … they got to their suggestion.  Frankly, I think they hit it on the head.

Another top candidate is Colombian senator Piedad Cordoba, tapped by CNN as the frontrunner; Cordoba, the head of Colombians for Peace, has tried to end the conflict between her country’s government and the rebel Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC. She has secured the release of 16 hostages and was kidnapped herself in 1999; critics have complained, however, that she is too close to rebels.

Cordoba has done more in the past year to prevent an actual war than Obama.

Or how about Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad of Jordan.  He’s an Islamic scholar who is a leading proponent of interfaith dialogue.  He led an effort in 2005 called the “theological counter-attack against terrorism.”

Prince Ghazi has done more to bridge the gap between the Western and Muslim worlds than Obama has.

That’s just two candidates that met the Nobel jury’s qualifications for Obama, but exceeded Obama’s contributions.

HopenChange: Protests Now Considered Terrorism

Posted by Casey on June 17, 2009

The base area of The Pentagon, Washington DC, ...
Image via Wikipedia

We’ve been engaged in a full fledged war of free speech since shortly before the election with Obama’s censorship of radio and TV stations and reporters.  Now we have some serious problems that go beyond the DHS report on conservatives.

Recently we’ve learned that you are not allowed to hold a rally for a specific piece of legislation unless you pay the government for permission to do so.

Now, if you hold a protest … like say … a tea party.  You are officially committing an act of terrorism.

A written exam administered by the Pentagon labels “protests” as a form of “low-level terrorism” — enraging civil liberties advocates and activist groups who say it shows blatant disregard of the First Amendment.

The written exam, given as part of Department of Defense employees’ routine training, includes a multiple-choice question that asks:

“Which of the following is an example of low-level terrorism?”

— Attacking the Pentagon

— IEDs

— Hate crimes against racial groups

— Protests

The correct answer, according to the exam, is “Protests.”

“Its part of a pattern of equating dissent and protest with terrorism,” said Ann Brick, an attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union, which obtained a copy of the question after a Defense Department employee who was taking the test printed the screen on his or her computer terminal.

“It undermines the core constitutional values the Department of Defense is supposed to be defending,” Brick said, referring to the First Amendment right to peaceably assemble.

And so it has begun.

All day yesterday, as this unfolded, the MSM painted Von Brunn as a conservative quack. Just like the ones we were warned about in a certain famous report from the federal government labeling conservative veterans as potential terrorists.

The most sickening of these came from Shep Smith at Fox News who spent his whole program using the shooting as a way to confirm the report had been accurate.

Now we are learning that Von Brunn hated conservatives, and may be a registered Democrat. The fact that he was a truther should have spelled this out to everyone.

Those Damn Jews Are Breaking Up The Family

DETROIT, MI - APRIL 27: Rev. Jeremiah Wright ...

Antisemitism runs strong in our president’s background, and his utter lack of interest in Israel’s safety is proof that it did take hold of him.
clipped from www.dailypress.com

Asked if he had spoken to the President, Wright said: “Them Jews aren’t going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter, that he’ll talk to me in five years when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office. …
“They will not let him to talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is. … I said from the beginning: He’s a politician; I’m a pastor. He’s got to do what politicians do.”
Wright also said Obama should have sent a U.S. delegation to the World Conference on Racism held recently in Geneva, Switzerland, but that the president did not do so for fear of offending Jews and Israel.

What Happens When A Libtard Tries To Interview The Taliban? A Giant Orgy, Of Course!

Posted by Casey on June 8, 2009

H/t Gatewaypundit

Joanie de Rijke2

They are calling it rape, but clearly it wasn’t rape if she was down with it.

In November 2008 a Dutch journalist, Joanie de Rijke, was abducted by Taliban fighters in Afghanistan. She was held captive, raped repeatedly, and released after six days for a ransom of 100,000 euros ($137,000). After her ordeal, she acknowledged that her captors “did horrible things to me,” but added in several media interviews “They also respected me,” and emphasized “They are not monsters.”

In a speech in the Dutch Parliament last Thursday, the Dutch opposition leader Geert Wilders referred to Joanie de Rijke’s case.

“She was raped, but she was not angry. The journalist who went looking for the Taliban in Afghanistan saw her curiosity end in a cruel ordeal of multiple rape. While this would make others angry or sad, this journalist shows understanding. She says: ‘They also respected me.’ And she was given tea and biscuits.”

By now many of you are confused … welcome to the club. Are we really to believe that a rape occurred, but was ‘ok’ because the raper respected the rapee by giving her tea and biscuits? Maybe a direct quote from the victim adulterer will help sort this out.

During her captivity, de Rijke was raped repeatedly by Gul. In her book In de handen van de Taliban, which she published last month, she writes that the Taliban commander

“could not control his testosterone. I had the impression that afterwards he regretted what had happened. He knew it was wrong.”

The noble savage even “invited her to a threesome,” i.e. to have sex with him and one of his three wives.

Uh huh?

So the rape was ok because she was shown respect, she refuses to paint the Taliban as monsters, and her rapist invited her to join in a threesome (did she accept)?

Given that she is referred to repeatedly as “Mrs.” I am to assume she is married. Here’s my take on this. I don’t think she has stockholm syndrome at all. I believe she is so enamored with the Taliban that she desired a sexual encounter with this man. Then to gain sympathy, notoriety, and save her marriage she claimed the consensual encounter was rape.

Before you all start thinking harsh of me I would like to ask you a question to ponder. Would a rapist ever invite his victim to have a threesome with his wife?

Attacks In Afghanistan Up 80 Percent Since Obama Became President

Posted by Casey on June 5, 2009

Does anyone else notice a significant lack of media coverage on this? Every time a soldier got a scratch on their arm under Bush the MSM was all over it. It would have been a feeding frenzy right now if Bush were still in office with calls for exit strategies, claims of not caring about our troops, etc.
clipped from www.foxnews.com
Insurgent use of roadside bombs in Afghanistan has surged 80 percent this year as they remain the No. l killer of foreign troops, a NATO official said Thursday.

The increase since the corresponding period last year includes bombs that detonated or were found by troops before they could explode, said Canadian Brig. Gen. Richard Blanchette, a spokesman for NATO’s International Security Assistance Force.

“This is very serious business for us,” Blanchette told AP Broadcast in an interview from Kabul, Afghanistan.

Roadside bombs have been the primary killer in both the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. Last year, improvised devices and other roadside explosives killed 172 U.S. and coalition troops in Afghanistan. At least 31 American soldiers have been killed by roadside bombs this year, according to the Defense Department.
