After Years Of Providing Free Taxpayer Funded Housing To Katrina Victims, FEMA Sells The Trailers To Them For A Dollar.

What a load of crap! We’ve spent nearly 6 billion dollars on these moochers for 4 years. We’ve given them free cash, food, and housing for all that time while they literally did nothing to rebuild their lives. Now, rather than have the balls to evict these pathetic societal leeches, FEMA is going to sell them their trailers for $1.

Wow! What a scam these people have run. All of the freebies in the past, and now they get to buy a house for a buck. No doubt they’ll find a way to give these people land for free, at taxpayer’s expense, so they have a place to put their shiny little trailers.

Un-freaking believable!

The federal government is offering 3,400 survivors of hurricanes Katrina and Rita who have not found permanent housing
a chance to buy the temporary federal trailers they live in now for as little as one dollar.

The offer comes 10 days
after the FEMA housing program officially ended and amid growing worries that federal officials would start evicting tenants.

understand that transitions can be a time of uncertainty and no one will face evictions from a temporary unit while these
new measures are implemented,” FEMA said in a statement.

The $5.6 billion housing assistance program that provided the
trailers and hotel rooms to the hurricane victims was supposed to end in 2007. But the deadline was extended by two years
to help more than 5,000 individuals and families still struggling to rebuild their lives. At its peak, 143,000 households
along the Gulf Coast were located in temporary housing units.

For Everyone Who Doesn’t Understand Why Mexicans Are Dying From Swine Flu, But No One Else Is … I Have The Answer!

Posted by Casey on April 29, 2009

Scientists are baffled as to why the swine flu is so much more deadly in Mexico than in the US.

Really? Let me help them out.

Need I say more?

Need I say more?

I know, I know … You are all shocked.  As it turns out, the swine flu is more dangerous in Mexico because Mexico is a THIRD WORLD COUNTRY YOU IDIOTS!

By now some of you are asking about Mexico’s health care system … is it private or universal? Well, it’s actually both.

Mexico fosters three unequal, yet parallel systems of health care. There are six government-run social security institutions that provide care for approximately 50 million of Mexico’s gainfully employed. The uninsured poor, comprised of about 40 million Mexicans, receive limited health-care benefits administered by the Ministry of Health of Mexico. The private sector, which represents about 3 million Mexicans, is comprised of individuals whose health-care funding is met through private insurance carriers.

Mexico’s healthcare system has actually won some awards.

And you think your health insurance company is bad? Just be happy you don’t live in Mexico. There it takes two physicians, four bureaucrats, and quadruplicate forms to get life-saving medications in that country, and as Cecilia Velazquez, winner of this year’s red tape “prize” in Mexico has brought to our attention, Mexico’s healthcare system is a bureaucratic nightmare that is just unacceptable–to the point of winning said contest in her home country for the long waiting times, multiple hoops, and redundancies built into the system.

The Stimulus Changes Everything, But No One In Congress Read It.

Posted by Casey on February 13, 2009

The sad truth is that he is 100% right.

We can all imagine several reasons why Congress broke their promise to allow all of us to read the bill before the vote, and rushed this thing through. Now we know that at least one reason is there is a vacation to get to.

And The Winner For The Dumbest Thing In The Stimulus Package Is …

Posted by Casey on February 2, 2009

Prepare yourself … you’ve been warned.

It’s high time we crowned a winner for the dumbest thing in the Obama/Democrat stimulus package. There are several candidates that would have been worthy of such a dishonor, but there is one that is indisputably stupid … no matter what your political affiliation is.

SEMA is opposing an effort by some Washington lawmakers to include a national car crushing program in the upcoming economic stimulus package. Vehicles targeted for the scrap pile will likely include Chevy Blazers, Silverados, S-10s and Tahoes; Dodge Dakotas and Rams; Ford Explorers and F-Series; Jeep Cherokees and Wranglers; and any other SUV or truck that obtains less than 18 mpg.

Could it be something so retarded as to use taxpayer money to destroy cars? Yes!

clipped from

Under the plan, the federal government would pay a premium for ’99 and newer cars. Click here to oppose the legislation.

The so-called “Accelerated Retirement of Inefficient Vehicles Act” is “Cash for Clunkers” with a twist. Instead of focusing exclusively on old cars as is typical with scrappage programs, this bill will target any vehicle with lower fuel-economy ratings. Participants will receive a cash voucher to purchase a more fuel-efficient new car or used car (model year 2004 or later) or receive credit for the purchase of public transportation tickets.

Under the legislation, “fuel efficient” means at least 25% better mileage than the CAFE standard. It will be illegal to resell the scrapped vehicles. Bill sponsors want to destroy 4 million pickups and SUVs over the next four years.

The program will fail to achieve its goal of improving fuel efficiency and stimulating car sales, but will increase unemployment and the cost of used cars and parts. Here’s why:

Follow this link for SEMA’s point by point opposition to the proposal.

Essentially, this is the government taking taxpayer’s money to advance the myth of global warming which we all know doesn’t exist.

Most of the vehicles targeted in this legislation are worth more than the max you can get from the government of $4,500. So if you were to participate you would be taking a loss to allow the government to destroy your car. Then you get to go into debt by only getting an average down payment on a highly restrictive list of new cars that are overpriced for the market anyway.

Naturally, this will not accomplish its stated goals. SEMA points out that this could raise the cost of used vehicles due to less supply. That affects poorer families ability to get a car.

To make it illegal to sell these vehicles is the worst kind of stupid. Why not sell them to companies that convert vehicles to other forms of fuel at a discount, and then allow them to sell the converted vehicle for market value? I guess that’s too simple for government.

So who’s responsible for this idea? Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) and Representative Henry Waxman (D-CA) … shocking, I know.

If it makes you feel better, there is another provision in the stimulus package that addresses cars. The government is giving themselves an additional $600 million for new government cars for a total of $3.6 billion. Most of those new government cars, by the way, are SUV’s.

Sign on to oppose the car crushing plan here, and to get talking points to oppose it here.

Nobel Prize Economists Tell Obama He’s Wrong On Stimulus Plan

Posted by Casey on January 30, 2009

This is common sense stuff, but the masses seem so ignorant about history that they are willing to let this thing do its damage. We’ve tried these stimulus packages before … they failed. Japan has tried them before … they failed. Europe has tried them … they also failed. Stimulus packages like this have never worked, and never will work.

200 top economic minds signed a national ad published in The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal against the trillion dollar spending binge proposed by democrats. The ad, sponsored by the Cato Institute, blasts the massive boondoggle that funds liberal projects under the guise of “stimulating” the economy.

“There is no disagreement that we need action by our government, a recovery plan that will help to jumpstart the economy.”

President-Elect Barack Obama
January 9, 2009
With all due respect Mr. President, that is not true. Notwithstanding reports that all economists are now Keynesians and that we all support a big increase in the burden of government, we the undersigned do not believe that more government spending is a way to improve economic performance. More government spending by Hoover and Roosevelt did not pull the United States economy out of the Great Depression in the 1930s. More government spending did not solve Japan’s “lost decade” in the 1990s. As such, it is a triumph of hope over experience to believe that more government spending will help the U.S. today.

Buy A Ford, Or You’re A Socialist … Period!

Posted by Casey on December 23, 2008

When it comes to American cars, there has been no debate that the Ford brand produces the highest quality vehicles. Unless, of course, you are a juvenile who clings to the old “Fixed Or Repaired Daily” patheticism. Ford has been producing very high quality vehicles for several years now. GM has had some solid vehicles of their own, but per capita Ford has had the superior product lately. Chrysler is crap, and really isn’t worthy of mention when discussing quality.

Ford Motor Company is also the safest manufacturer in the world. Shocking, I know. It takes a lot for people to shake loose the cobwebs of conventional wisdom about American cars, but it is the truth. These things are likely the reason Ford is in better shape than the other two financially.

I’m not advocating you buying a Ford because of what I mentioned above. I think you should buy a Ford because they are the only ones who didn’t take the bailout money from the federal government. Can you fathom such a strategic move in this day and age? Ford actually said they did not want to steal money from the taxpayer.

That makes Ford the only one of the “big 3” to reject socialism … for the time being. That deserves a reward in the form of your business. Don’t support socialism … buy a Ford.

So, What’s In The Democrat’s Secret $500 Billion Spending Bill?

Posted by Casey on September 23, 2008

Some good, some bad … as usual.

Pentagon budget, disaster aid set to advance

Details of the emerging legislation remain secret, but its outlines
have come out in interviews with aides to both the House and Senate
Appropriations committees, as well as aides to top House and Senate

The legislation is coming together in a remarkably secretive process
in which decisions are concentrated in the hands of just a few
lawmakers such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader
Harry Reid and House Appropriations Committee Chairman David Obey,

The unusual process means thousands of lawmakers’ pet projects of
the very sort blasted by GOP presidential nominee John McCain on the
campaign trail would escape scrutiny, including up to $5 billion worth
of such “earmarks” in the defense budget alone.

Congressional leaders hope to pass the budget legislation this week,
but several issues remained undecided Monday. For starters, it wasn’t
clear how much the White House would be willing to accept.

Catch that?  This is a neat little way to inflate government even more by hiding pork.

While top-level congressional leaders haven’t made final decisions,
elements of the year-end budget package are likely to include:

_Stopgap government funding. Most federal agencies would see their
budgets frozen at current levels for several weeks or even into March.
Lawmakers want to avoid a postelection “lame duck” session, but fear
the White House will force them to return to session in November in
hopes Congress would approve a free trade pact with Colombia.

_Security-related budgets. More than $600 billion to fund the 2009
budgets for the Pentagon, Homeland Security Department and the
Department of Veterans Affairs.

_Disaster aid. Up to $25 billion in emergency funding for victims of
Gulf Coast hurricanes, midwestern floods and other natural disasters.

_Automaker loans. More than $7 billion is provided to subsidize $25
billion in loans to help the “Big Three” U.S. automakers retool their
plants to build cleaner, more energy efficient cars.

_Heating subsidies. Democrats want to double the budget to $5.1
billion for a popular program providing heating subsidies for the poor.

Democrats were also weighing whether to try to add another extension
of unemployment benefits to the year-end budget package. Another option
would be to add the unemployment insurance coverage to a subsequent $50
billion-plus measure to stimulate the economy with infrastructure
spending, aid to states and additional food stamp benefits.

[Sigh] … Oi vai.
