Bush Shoe Tosser Crying About Being Tortured

Posted by Casey on December 16, 2008

Good thing he’s in Iraq, I guess. If he were here he’d have probably been shot.

While we’ve had fun looking at the social-media mashups spun off of the Bush/shoe-throwing incident, here’s a sobering issue: The BBC reports that the man, Muntadar al-Zaidi (pictured in a BBC photo), has been beaten while in Iraqi custody. His brother told the British news agency that al-Zaidi allegedly “suffered a broken arm, broken ribs and internal bleeding.” And Arab media is airing similar reports: Raed in the Middle reports that the station where al-Zaidi worked says his hand was broken, and the blog “Roads to Iraq” relays a report from al-Sharqiya TV that the man has “broken ribs and signs of tortures on his thighs.”

I still find it amusing that this story is bigger than Gov. Palin’s church being burned down by an arsonist.

The LA Times seems to have compared the shoe tosser to Joe the plumber in a not so shocking anymore display idiocy.

Meanwhile, back in Iraq …

For those of you who think this guy represents the feelings towards Bush in Iraq … we are finding out that he is a terrorist sympathizer who is pissed his side got their asses kicked.

Ahmed recalled that al-Zeidi spoke glowingly of anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, whose followers organized protests Monday to demand his release.

He’s also a huge fan of communist murderer Che Guevara, and has a major ego problem. Apparently he’s more of an attention whore than journalist … according to other Iraqi journalists.

Also not making news here in the states from Iraq is the kick ass celebration the troops had for the president while he was visiting them there. Please notice the difference in troop behavior towards Bush as opposed to Obama or Kerry.

The Obama Voters Are Idiots Video

Posted by Casey on November 18, 2008

Everyone under the sun is posting this video, and it is good for a laugh.  Normally, I’d say it’s only a handful of people interviewed.  However, their answers are the same that I got when I’d ask Obama supporters (number 2’s) why they were supporting Obama.

Zogby is being attacked for the poll results that coincide with this video, but Zogby is a self-professed “flaming liberal” who used to be a Democrat politician. Zogby is most famous for spinning polls to fit his ideology … not for helping conservatives. Maybe he is a Hillary supporter who is still pissed.

Now you know Zogby is no right-winger (quite the contrary), let’s see what his poll says.

512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points

97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates

Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions

57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)

81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)

82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)

88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)

56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).

Some would say at this point that most voters are relatively uninformed. I would tend to agree with that. After all, most voted for Obama. However, it isn’t that they didn’t know the answers to these questions … it’s where they got their information from, and that they did know the answers to other questions.

Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes

Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter

And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her “house,” even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.

Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we “gave” one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)

To know nothing about Ayers, but to know how much was spent on Palin’s wardrobe is ridiculous at best.

Racist Students Assault College Freshman

Posted by Casey on November 13, 2008

I just gave you the headline the news is too afraid to give you, but it is the truth.

An Augsburg College student says she was attacked and punched on election night, because of her support for Sarah Palin. 18-year-old Annie Grossmann tells KARE 11 she was assaulted after attending an election night party. “They saw the pin and they started calling me racist, and I’ve never seen these girls before,” Grossmann. Grossmann says 4 women confronted here, one of them grabbed her, began shouting at her, and wouldn’t let her go.

“After about 5 minutes or so I just got really sick of it, just holding me there by force. So I kind of pushed her back and started walking away. She grabbed me by the shoulder, I turned around, and she punched me in the eye,” she said. Bruce Grossmann, her father, says the punch caused his daughter to hit her head on a wall behind her.

Black students attack a white student while calling white student racist for wearing a Palin pin. Hypocrisy is what you get when you lack the ability to look into a mirror.

More Fabricated Allegations Of Racism At Palin Rally Proven Wrong

Posted by Casey on October 28, 2008

This is becoming boresome. The repeated allegations of racism based on nothing at all have led to fabricated allegations of racism at McCain/Palin rallies. None of which have been true.

There was no “kill him” comment, and now there was no nigger comment either.

Vids via Weasel Zippers:

Here’s the allegation of the word nigger being yelled out at Palin rally.

Luckily, a sane Koser pointed out that it was not nigger being yelled out, but it was redistributor.

CNN Lies – Says McCain Cedes Colorado While Palin Sets Attendance Records

Posted by Casey on October 21, 2008

Remember when the media called Florida for Gore when he was actually losing the state? This is awfully familiar isn’t it? CNN today also is claiming that polling data is stark for McCain. Stark? How ironic since we’ve just found out that the polling in this campaign has been overestimating Obama’s strength by an average of 7%.

CNN reported yesterday incorrectly that the McCain Camp is ceding Colorado to Marxisant radical Barack Obama.

The report by CNN on the Colorado election was not true.

And, it came at the wrong time…

CNN published this bogus report as VP Candidate Sarah Palin was setting all-time attendance records in Grand Junction just yesterday.

22,000 supporters showed up to see Governor Sarah Palin break a Grand Junction record!
“First Dude” Todd Palin is making four campaign stops in western Colorado and Denver on Tuesday. Todd will be at a Village Inn Restaurant in Glenwood Springs, the Eagle Diner in Eagle and the McCain-Palin campaign headquarters in Eagle on Tuesday morning.

Secret Service Says “Kill Him” Comment Is Crap

Posted by Casey on October 16, 2008

Not a big surprise here. Sorry to burst your bubble libs, but I saw this coming a mile away. There was never any proof that anyone in a crowd for Palin said “kill him” in reference to Obama. Simple journalistic integrity should have prevented a rumor from getting spread by an Obama drooling lacky in the media.

Times Leader:

The agent in charge of the Secret Service field office in Scranton said allegations that someone yelled “kill him” when presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s name was mentioned during Tuesday’s Sarah Palin rally are unfounded.

The Scranton Times-Tribune first reported the alleged incident on its Web site Tuesday and then again in its print edition Wednesday. The first story, written by reporter David Singleton, appeared with allegations that while congressional candidate Chris Hackett was addressing the crowd and mentioned Obama’s name a man in the audience shouted “kill him.”

News organizations including ABC, The Associated Press, The Washington Monthly and MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann reported the claim, with most attributing the allegations to the Times-Tribune story.

Agent Bill Slavoski said he was in the audience, along with an undisclosed number of additional secret service agents and other law enforcement officers and not one heard the comment.

“I was baffled,” he said after reading the report in Wednesday’s Times-Tribune.

He said the agency conducted an investigation Wednesday, after seeing the story, and could not find one person to corroborate the allegation other than Singleton.

Got that? It was a load of crap manufactured by a pro-Obama journalist in order to smear conservatives as radicals. Yet the real radicals in Obama’s camp go unmentioned.

Why The Pro-Obama Moderator Is Not A Big Deal … Yet

Posted by Casey on October 1, 2008

I’ve been seeing posts and stories on the moderator for the upcoming Vice Presidential debate, and I am a little miffed with my fellow conservatives on this one. The moderator is Gwen Ifill, and she is an outspoken Obama supporter who also happens to have a book on Obama coming out soon. Ifill was also justifiably criticized for her undeniably biased coverage of the Republican convention. She’s a pro-Obama lib … plain and simple.

Conservative bloggers have been pointing to the definition of moderator as an argument against her. This is blatant spin. Anyone who knows me, or has read my posts for any length of time knows I am a definition guy. If you change the definition … you change the argument. That includes the spin being used by my fellow conservative bloggers. A moderator doesn’t have to have no bias in their heart, but only in their conduct in their duties. Otherwise we’d have no moderators at all, because we all have a bias. The question isn’t if you are biased … it’s can you put it aside to be fair.

While Ifill is clearly a questionable choice because she has a financial interest due to her book on Obama … the blogosphere is making entirely too much of this too soon. We can all agree that this was not the best choice. If for nothing else, the impression that she will be unfair. However, the impression she’ll be unfair doesn’t mean she will actually be unfair. Though I do agree with Michelle Malkin and others that Ifill should publicly disclose her book from the moderator’s podium just prior to asking questions so everyone watching knows about it. I also agree with Greta that the McCain campaign should have been told she had a book coming out. The fact that they weren’t is clearly suspicious.

I’m a staunch conservative, and everyone in my community knows it. There is no illusion that I am anything but a right-leaning person. I was asked to host a debate on a college campus yesterday between the college Democrat and Republican groups, and I was beyond fair in spite of my internal bias. Did I want to help the Republican group at times? Yes, but I didn’t. I was constantly biting my lip every time I heard one of the debaters say something completely untrue, but I did bite my lip. I treated both sides fairly, and for the most part stayed out of the debate unless my duties as a moderator dictated that I intervene.

I think it is presumptive of other conservative bloggers to say that Ifill will not behave in the same manner I did. We simply don’t know, and should reserve our criticism for after the debate if criticism is even warranted. Otherwise Ifill’s critics may eat crow if she turns out to be a fair moderator. This is one of those times where a preemptive strike is unnecessary, and unwise.

Anti-McCain Ad To Focus On Incest

Posted by Casey on September 26, 2008

Welcome GatewayPundit, LGF, Freepers and other readers.  The response to this post has been stellar.  I’ve been moderating a debate today, and hadn’t look at the site until now.  You guys have been awesome.

This is a Needs of the Many exclusive. If you see this post anywhere else it is because they are citing my work (which is great, and encouraged), or they are stealing my work. Please report back if you see this post anywhere else without a link back to my site.  I’ve been having a problem with theft of my posts … thank you.

Fax of job for anti-McCain incest ad.

Fax of job for anti-McCain incest ad.

A few days ago I was listening to the radio, and heard that there was an ad looking for actors from a talent agency that wanted a girl for an anti-McCain/pro-Obama commercial. Not a big deal, right? I didn’t think so either until the host of the show I was listening to read the contents of the job opportunity. This is a new low for the campaign. Click the picture above to read the job opportunity, and the “motivation” the actor should have for the part.

Casey refers to Casey Hendrickson on KXNT. I was listening to his show when he announced that he was sent this from another listener. I sent him an email, and asked if I could have the ad … this is what he sent me. He said he blacked out some usernames, and email addresses to protect privacy.

Notice the project name is “Anti Palin/McCain Political Ad” … they didn’t even have the ticket right. The actress will also not be paid for her work. Instead she will get a DVD of her commercial for her portfolio. It’s called TFDVD (time for DVD), and it is common in the modeling world if you are a model trying to get noticed.

The actress should be 15-19, and “break your heart” without saying a word. Her role is that of a victim of incest or rape who is now pregnant, and “forced to keep her child b/c Roe v. Wade overturned means no exception for rape or incest.”

LOL … wow! Talk about fear-mongering. There are so many problems with this ad, but that’s common with liberal advertisements.

The president, should McCain win, has no authority to overturn Roe v. Wade. Certainly, the vice president has no such authority. Yet Palin is getting top billing for this job. The president’s only authority in the matter is to appoint judges to the Supreme Court. Any judge appointed to the Supreme Court by the president must be approved by the Senate using “advise and consent.” So if McCain appoints a judge to the Supreme Court who is interested in reversing Roe v. Wade … they will have to be approved by the Senate first, and with a 2/3 majority. McCain has also made it clear that he will not have a litmus test on abortion for judges he’d appoint.

I’m also unaware of any proposed change to Roe v. Wade that removes the abortion option in cases of incest or rape. I could be wrong, but every proposal I can think of off the top of my head would allow abortion in the case of incest, rape or the health of the mother. In fact, McCain has made it clear that he supports abortion in cases of rape or incest. It’s a stance he’s always had. So attacking him on it is literally a lie.

This is what he told the NY Times on his incest/rape abortion stance in his previous run for president.

McCain was asked whether he would reinstate the Reagan era rule that prevents international family planning clinics that receive federal funds from discussing abortion. “I don’t believe they should advocate abortion with my tax dollars,” McCain said, adding that he opposed abortion except in cases of rape and incest. He was then asked how he would determine whether someone had in fact been raped. McCain responded, “I think that I would give the benefit of the doubt to the person who alleges that.”

New York Times, p. A17 Jan 25, 2000

McCain also has a long history of supporting changing the culture of abortion in the US rather than just pulling Roe v. Wade. Although he has repeatedly stated that Roe v. Wade was a mistake. He’s right there. Factually, Roe v. Wade was a mistake because it was an illegal ruling by the Supreme Court who was stepping WAY out of their legal power.

So, literally the ad has nothing on McCain at all.

Palin has a more strict pro-life stance than McCain, and the ad will likely be catering to the anti-Palin crowd. Palin opposes abortion in all cases except the health of the mother. However, the attempts to paint her as cruel are unfounded. The ad we are discussing also blows it here as well.

The ad says that the girl was “forced to keep her child” because Roe v. Wade was overturned. That’s also a blatant lie. No one would be forced to keep the child. There is always adoption.  So even if the most strict restrictions are placed upon abortion, no matter how unlikely, there will always be adoption to a loving home.  Palin doesn’t believe the child should be punished for the actions of the parents.

No doubt the ad will certainly anger a large segment of the population that is so far beyond ignorant that we don’t have a word for them yet, but it doesn’t change the fact that the ad is full of conjecture based on lies. I hope the Dems are not stupid enough to run the ad in Nebraska. It’s actually legal to abandon your kids there, and a guy just got rid of nine of them.
