Good Lord: More “Obama’s Going To Pay All My Bills” Lunacy.

Posted by Casey on January 19, 2009

A state senator from Maryland donned an Obama watch, and said that it didn’t matter her state was broke … as long as Obama was president.

I wonder what it’s like to not give a crap about not being able to pay your bills, because some guy somewhere may give you money. Even though he never promised to do so. Come to think of it … that’s an awful lot like the Christian religious zealots (not everyday Christians) saying that God will provide for them. Oh wait … same thing.

Poll: Should A 15 Year Old Girl Face Child Porn Charges For Sending Pictures Of Herself?

Posted by Casey on October 8, 2008

UPDATE: I’ve added the poll to this post at the bottom. It used to be in the left sidebar.

Oh my, what a doozie this case is. A 15 year old girl took naked pictures of herself, and sent them to classmates. She has been arrested and is being charged with felony child pornography.

Fox:

Central Ohio authorities have filed felony charges against a 15-year-old girl accused of taking nude cell phone photos of herself and sending them to high school classmates.

Police say the Newark Licking Valley student was arrested Friday and held over the weekend. On Monday, she entered denials to juvenile charges of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and possession of criminal tools.

A spokeswoman for the Ohio attorney general’s office says an adult convicted of the child pornography charge would have to register as a sexual offender, but a judge would have flexibility on the matter with a convicted juvenile.

A prosecutor says Licking County authorities also considering charges for students who received the photos.

Eek. I told you it was a doozy. Take a minute to take the poll in the sidebar. What do you think?

Las Vegas ACORN Office Raided … Tony Romo Registered Fraudulently

Posted by Casey on October 7, 2008

UPDATE:

Read the warrant here …

A woman who never registered with ACORN was found to be among the fraudulent registrations. Apparently her purse was stolen, and is now the victim of identity theft.

By now you’ve all heard that ACORN in Vegas has been raided. We’ve been having problems with the local ACORN office here for a couple of months now, and local talk radio has hit the issue. There were even some local candidates running for offices such as school board that have had scandals involving their ACORN memberships.

There is also a rumor that ACORN was hiring prisoners to help with Project Vote, but I have not confirmed if this is true yet. Nor do I know exactly how it would be possible.

AP:

Nevada state authorities are raiding the Las Vegas headquarters of an organization that works to get low-income people to vote.

A Nevada secretary of state’s office spokesman said Tuesday that investigators are looking for evidence of voter fraud at the office of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.

No one was at the ACORN office when state agents arrived with a search warrant and began carting records and documents away.

Fox has more info

Nevada state authorities seized records and computers Tuesday from the Las Vegas office of an organization that tries to get low-income people registered to vote, after fielding complaints of voter fraud.

Bob Walsh, spokesman for the Nevada secretary of state’s office, told FOXNews.com the raid was prompted by ongoing complaints about “erroneous” registration information being submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.

The group was submitting the information through a voter sign-up drive known as Project Vote.

“Some of them used nonexistent names, some of them used false addresses and some of them were duplicates of previously filed applications,” Walsh said, describing the complaints, which largely came from the registrar in Clark County, Nev.

Secretary of State Ross Miller said the fraudulent registrations included forms for the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys football team.

“Tony Romo is not registered to vote in the state of Nevada, and anybody trying to pose as Terrell Owens won’t be able to cast a ballot on Nov. 4,” Miller said.

Walsh said agents from both the secretary of state’s office and Nevada attorney general’s office conducted the raid at 9:30 a.m. local time, and “took a bunch of stuff.” Miller’s office reported seizing eight computer hard drives and about 20 boxes of documents.

Bertha Lewis, interim chief organizer for ACORN, released a statement saying the group has for months been turning over any suspicious registration information to elections officials. She said those officials routinely ignored their tips, and called the raid a “stunt.”

BWAAAAHAHAHAHA! Tony Romo, and Terrell Owens? You have got to be kidding me. How pathetic can you get. If you are committing voter fraud, at least try to make it look legitimate.

Three Democrats Chicken Out Of Debate With Republicans

Posted by Casey on October 1, 2008

I wonder if the same people who said McCain was afraid to debate Obama will say the same about these three Democrats who chickened out of a debate with Republicans in Las Vegas.

Sin City Xtreme:

Three Democratic candidates vying for state legislative districts encompassing Sun City Summerlin were no-shows Thursday night for a debate organized by the west valley community.

Make sure you read the rest at the link above. The best part is the excuse given by one of the Dems who didn’t show. Why else would every Democrat not show up to a debate … unless they were scared.

Greenies Pissed About Green Resort.

Posted by Casey on August 5, 2008

I loves me some green on green enviro-fighting, and this looks to be good for some mild amusement.

The development, in the works for 2 1/2 years, calls for clusters of housing lots, two upscale hotels with restaurants, and a golf course billed as environmentally friendly.

It’s the environment itself that’s being touted as the heart of the plan. A large “green corridor” down the middle of the property would remain undeveloped, and four nature centers would be placed about the property focusing on birds, mammals, vernal pools, native plants and marine life.

The homes would have solar power and green septic systems, and they’d be designed to blend in with the surroundings.

Just another example of people trying to get rich by using the term “green.” Sounds like the greenies are getting a dose of their own medicine.

Harry Reid Beat Up An Old Man! Admits It Wasn’t Fair Fight!

Posted by Casey on April 25, 2008

This is actually fairly old news for us in Vegas. I’ve made a regular gag about it on my show since we found out the story. However, it doesn’t seem to have received national attention yet, but all of that will change in the coming weeks when his autobiography gets released. So if you aren’t aware of the story, read on.

LVRJ:

The U.S. Senate majority leader doesn’t pull any punches about his brawling reputation in his upcoming autobiography “The Good Fight — Hard Lessons From Searchlight to Washington.” …

The battle royale came when he was a college freshman. He and his high school girlfriend, Landra Gould, were still seeing each other, much to the chagrin of her chiropractor dad, who despised Reid because he wasn’t Jewish, according to the book.

“College hadn’t cooled the relationship, it had intensified it. We were going to be together and there was nothing her father could do about it. Of course he didn’t see it that way. She was living under his roof.”

The father met Reid at the door and told him to stay away from his daughter.

“I was there to pick her up,” Reid writes, “and he was blocking my way, talking too much. He started pushing, and I threw a punch, and then the whole mess spilled out into the front yard.

“It wasn’t a fair fight — he was smaller than I was … I turned around and found Landra by my side. We got in that car and we took off.”

They eloped in 1959 when she was 19 and he was 20. They will celebrate their 50th anniversary next year.

BWAAAAHAHAHAHA! The majority leader admits he beat up his father-in-law, AND it wasn’t a fair fight. I laugh every time I read that. I guess this explains why Mrs. Reid doesn’t make herself seen in the public eye. I’d probably hide from shame myself. How many of you ladies out there would marry the guy who attacked your dad? I didn’t think so. Hmm … I wonder if he’s holding her hostage?

Her father obviously was a good judge of character, and was doing his fatherly duty to keep a scumbag away from his little girl. No doubt something you dads out there can fully understand.

Reid’s character, however, is validated as being the hot-tempered bully we already identified him with. Even to this day Reid seems to brag about his unjustified attack on his future father-in-law. Seemingly basking in the fact that it wasn’t a fair fight because of the other guys age, and small stature. You might as well throw in Reid’s boxing as well … even though he was never any good at it. If you never knew Reid used to box, now you have an explanation for his dementia-esc memory lapses.

In the end, Reid’s attack does wonders to explain the endless list of character flaws Reid has displayed throughout the years. Good thing his political career is over so we don’t have to deal with him much longer. Now we’ll be able to focus more on his son Rory.

Maryland Looks At In-State Tuition For Illegals

Posted by Casey on March 25, 2008

And the illegals are making their opinion well known.

Examiner:

A crowd of mostly immigrant high school and college students rallied at the University of Maryland campus Monday in support of legislation that would provide in-state tuition to illegal immigrants who graduate from a Maryland high school.

There is some good news however. The turn out at the rally was lower than expected (about 60), and similar legislation has failed since 2003.

Of course, the Democrats are leading the charge on this issue as well.

“The vast majority of these kids were brought here by their parents,” said Del. Saqib Ali, a Montgomery County Democrat. “We shouldn’t penalize them for the actions of their parents.”

Ali added that a country willing to let illegal immigrants fight in its wars should also offer them “full and equal access to higher education,” especially when their children will most likely be born in the United States.

Guess Ali never served in the military, because that isn’t how things work. Illegals don’t get to serve in the military … immigrants with permission do. If an illegal is caught serving in the military … they’re in deep trouble. It was a nice try though. If you change the definition, you change the argument.
