Honoring The Last WWI Veteran Who Passed Away Today

Harry Patch was the last WWI veteran. He passed away today in his home.
Mr Patch served as a private at the Third Battle of Ypres – known as Passchendaele – from June to September 1917 when he was seriously injured by a shell explosion which killed three of his friends.
Any one of them could have been me. Millions of men came to fight in this war and I find it incredible that I am the only one left.
