Everyone under the sun is posting this video, and it is good for a laugh. Normally, I’d say it’s only a handful of people interviewed. However, their answers are the same that I got when I’d ask Obama supporters (number 2’s) why they were supporting Obama.
Zogby is being attacked for the poll results that coincide with this video, but Zogby is a self-professed “flaming liberal” who used to be a Democrat politician. Zogby is most famous for spinning polls to fit his ideology … not for helping conservatives. Maybe he is a Hillary supporter who is still pissed.
Now you know Zogby is no right-winger (quite the contrary), let’s see what his poll says.
97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates
Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions
57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)
81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)
82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)
88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)
56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).
Some would say at this point that most voters are relatively uninformed. I would tend to agree with that. After all, most voted for Obama. However, it isn’t that they didn’t know the answers to these questions … it’s where they got their information from, and that they did know the answers to other questions.
Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada said Monday that he is willing to let bygones be bygones in hopes of achieving cooperation with Republicans in the new Congress that starts in January.
“I want everyone within the sound of my voice to know, we don’t know what our majority is going to be, but whatever it is … I make a commitment to everyone that the only way we can succeed is working together,” Reid said.
Yeah … I’ll bet. Cooperation from Reid is the same as Stalin’s definition of freedom. Reid doesn’t seek cooperation at all with Republicans … he seeks servitude. Cooperation is something Reid can’t define, so allow me to help.
an act or instance of working or acting together for a common purpose or benefit; joint action.
2.
more or less active assistance from a person, organization, etc.: We sought the cooperation of various civic leaders.
3.
willingness to cooperate: to indicate cooperation.
4.
Economics. the combination of persons for purposes of production, purchase, or distribution for their joint benefit: producers’ cooperation; consumers’ cooperation.
5.
Sociology. activity shared for mutual benefit.
6.
Ecology. mutually beneficial interaction among organisms living in a limited area.
I guarantee you Reid isn’t interested in working with Republicans for a mutual benefit. He wants a Democrat benefit, and he seeks to halt any Republican benefits.
It is ironic Reid is calling for cooperation now, because he blatantly refused cooperation with Republicans on any issue since he has become Majority Leader of the Senate. Remember when he created the “war room” after talking about cooperation with Republicans in 2004?
But wait … Reid doesn’t want you to remember that.
“For me personally this is also a time not to look back,” Reid said, referring to the past two years when Democrats controlled only a small majority, leading to gridlock on many major issues.
“There is no need to look back,” Reid said. “There are reasons for everyone doing what they did, and we can let the historians write about what took place in the past.
“I would hope we all would look forward to a coming year as one of hope and necessity to change things because we obviously have a big hole, and we have to dig our way out of it,” Reid said. “The best thing is we have a hundred people digging in the same way.”
Told you Reid wasn’t interested in cooperation. He just made it clear that everyone must be working in the same way. His way no doubt.
