Why Global Warming Is Not A Crisis

ABC actually put this out. Make sure you ‘read on’ to get the full post. I’ll give you some links to some Hollywood global warming stories, and how the warming sun is a factor as well.
From the Babylon of Gilgamesh to the post-Eden of Noah, every age has viewed climate change cataclysmically, as retribution for human greed and sinfulness.
In the 1970s, the fear was “global cooling.” The Christian Science Monitor then declaimed, “Warning: Earth’s climate is changing faster than even experts expect,” while The New York Times announced, “A major cooling of the climate is widely considered inevitable.” Sound familiar? Global warming represents the latest doom-laden “crisis,” one demanding sacrifice to Gaia for our wicked fossil-fuel-driven ways.
I live in Vegas, and I assure you it is a lot cooler than it was when I was a kid. It’s about 5-10 degrees cooler. We run about 113-115 in the summer now compared to 118-120 when I was a kid. Yes … you CAN feel the difference when the temperature is that high.
Also, Hollywood is getting ready to unleash several movies about the planet fighting back against us pesky humans. Even though some of the movies have old storylines (i.e. Transformers) the greenie crowd will make a big stink about it.
This leads me to wonder if Captain Planet and the Ambiguously Gay Duo might team up for a summer
money shot blockbuster.
It also turns out that Earth isn’t the only planet warming up. I guess Mars, Jupiter and Pluto are warming up along with us. Even some moons are getting in on the action. As is the case with Triton: Neptune’s moon. What could possibly cause several planets and moons to warm in our solar system? Cows, cars, coal, humans … nope. Guess we’ll have to blame the sun.
While we’re at it … do you want to guess what killed off the dinosaurs? According to The American Society For Microbiology … global warming did. That is … before mankind for you D & D players out there.
Perhaps the scientists at the ASM will start getting death threats like the MIT scientists are.
